It was originally createdd in the 1940s by the confectionery company Georgalos. Founded by a Greek immigrant family, Miguel Georgalos, created Mantecol inspired by the delights of Halva, Mediterranean dessert, that nowaday cannot be missed during Chirstmas and special holidays in the Argentine table.
